<p>About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in the Directorate of Clinical Support, Department of Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Supervise and direct the activities of employees who perform duties and tasks concerned with CT scans of the had and/or body.</p><p>Advise senior leadership on departmental issues and their impact.</p><p>Assist radiologist in CT-guided biopsies, ensuring that sterile supplies, contrast material, catheters, needles and other required equipment and supplies are present and prepared for exams.</p><p>Confer with radiologist to establish requirements of non-standard examinations and determine technical factors, positioning, number and thickness cut of scans, etc., to satisfy the exam requirements.</p><p>Receive patients and prepares them for imaging procedures by explaining the process and answering questions.</p><p>Provide advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.</p><p>Identify training needs and plans and administers in-service education and on-the-job training of subordinates.</p><p>Contribute to filling vacant positions by assisting with job requisitions, participating in candidate interviews, and aiding in the selection process.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
