Medical Instrument Technician (Cardiovascular)

<p>About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center in the Directorate of Medicine, Department of Medicine Cardiac Catheterization Lab services in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Assist physicians and team members during a variety of highly complex, potentially life-threatening invasive cardiovascular procedures on stable and unstable patients.</p><p>Ensure patients are well-informed of the procedure and understand circumstances that will occur during procedures.</p><p>Clean instruments and maintain sterile instruments inventory.</p><p>Assist in identifying and selecting patients procedure-specific catheters, supplies, equipment, and contrast medium and volume and then manipulates or changes supplies or instruments in order to meet the requirements of the procedure.</p><p>Attend to patients safety and comfort needs before, during, and after procedures.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
