<p>The Milwaukee VAMC is looking for a highly skilled Registered Nurse to function as a Quality Manager for the Geriatric and Extended Care - Community Living Centers.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Assist with managerial, operational, and clinical functions of a diverse Veteran population with variable complexity. Coordinate the day-to-day operations to ensure monitoring and improvement of CLC SAIL / Compare Quality Metrics. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate standards of nursing care and clinical practice within the CLC in relation to CLC SAIL/Compare, additional quality and performance improvement metrics established via VA, VHA, as well as locally, and Unannounced CLC Survey preparations and action planning. Ensure effectiveness of programs and initiatives that address CLC SAIL/Compare Quality Metrics and Unannounced CLC Survey. Support CLC leadership in execution of CLC Compare/SAIL data analysis as well as a variety of data and quality metrics and performance improvement activities. NOTE: The CLC Quality Manager ensures the development, implementation, and maintenance of GEMS requirements in accordance with VHA Directive 2005-011, and Medical Center policy. This involves developing and implementing environmental policies, procedures, and systems within areas of responsibility. Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not authorized Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized</p><h3>Requirements</h3>U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
