<p>About the Position: This position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Department of Surgery - Physical Medicine and Rehab in Tacoma, Washington. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Advance in Hire may be authorized. This is available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide interpretation of Physical Therapist’s findings to initiate care.</p><p>Design a patient progressive treatment plan to improve functional independence.</p><p>Make recommendations and utilizes the various modalities of physical therapy, as prescribed, to include diathermy, hydrotherapy, massage, electrotherapy, ultrasound and therapeutic exercise.</p><p>Track procedure’s effects on patients, long-and short-term effects of different types of therapy, and appropriateness of a specific therapy.</p><p>Provide instruction to patients, family members and/or other health workers to perform selected treatment procedures and functional training activities.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
