Please note, this position is only open to Southern Nevada Healthcare System Employees Only.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Employee Occupational Health (EOH) Registered Nurse (RN) provides competent, evidence-based care to employees and oversees licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants, as appropriate to the setting. The EOH RN supports worker-centered occupational safety and health initiatives, promotes employee well-being, monitors and tracks employee health status, and assesses workplace hazards and contaminants. The EOH RN assists with nursing education, orientation, competency development, and participates in quality improvement and utilization review processes. This position contributes to the development of care delivery models, participates in strategic planning, and ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, directives, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Major Duties and Responsibilities: Promote and maintain the health and well-being of employees in the workplace Address occupational health and environmental medicine issues Ensure compliance with Federal laws, regulations, professional standards, and VA/VHA policy Assess employees' ability to safely perform work duties and establish work restrictions as needed Manage occupational injuries and illnesses Conduct medical examinations and evaluations related to the physical, chemical, biological, and social workplace environments Work closely with VASNHCS employees Administer vaccines and conduct surveillance programs Provide compassionate care to employees Document and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team Preferred Experience Employee Occupational Health Experience Preferred. Knowledge of Joint Commission and OSHA regulations. 2-3 years of knowledge and proficiency with Excel and Microsoft programs. 3 years of vaccination administration knowledge and experience Work Schedule: Variable Shifts depending on the needs of the facility Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
