Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at 59th Medical Wing Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Assess acute and non-acute clinical problems.</p><p>Direct collaborative care assessment, diagnosis and management of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.</p><p>Provide counseling to patients and their families.</p><p>Evaluate care delivery models and strategies, using concepts related to community, environmental/occupational health, and cultural and socioeconomic dimensions of health.</p><p>Serve as a preceptor to graduate students enrolled in nurse practitioner and physician assistant programs, medical students and to newly assigned nurse practitioners.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
