<p>This position is located in the Health Care Services, Nursing Service. The primary purpose is to assist the Supervisory Clinical Nurses in managing and directing nursing care required for off tours of duty acting as the nurse supervisor and resource person to all areas (Long Term Care, Memory Support, Assisted Living, Independent Living Plus and Independent Living).</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>As a/an Supervisory Nurse, you will: Supervise Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), students and external agency personnel, makes assignments in accordance with established written AFRH, Nursing Service and State Nurse Practice guidelines. Evaluate staffing levels and coordinates requests with Nursing Service. Monitor the availability of supplies and plans for replacement of necessary items. Conduct or assist the Supervisory Clinical Nurse in preparing for interdisciplinary rounds and coordinating the plan of care for the Resident. Candidates should be committed to improving the efficiency of the Federal government, passionate about the ideals of our American republic, and committed to upholding the rule of law and the United States Constitution.</p><h3>Requirements</h3>Key Requirements: Please refer to "Conditions of Employment." Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. The AFRH ethics program promotes the highest standards of ethical conduct for all employees. As a federal employee, you will be subject to the Standards of Ethical Conduct, and the U.S. criminal conflict of interest statutes. As an AFRH employee, you will also be subject to the AFRH Supplemental Ethics Regulations which restrict the extent to which a AFRH employee can engage in certain activities and hold certain investments. Depending on your position, you may also be required to file a public or confidential financial disclosure report which must be filed within 30 days of your appointment as an employee of AFRH. Upon your new appointment, you will receive guidance regarding your ethics obligations. You will also be required to attend a mandatory ethics training within 3 months of your appointment. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the OPM instructions.
