Supervisory Nurse (Clinical/Med-Surg)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Coordinate and assure timely arrival of patients to scheduled procedures during hospitalization.</p><p>Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on one or more units (surgical, medical or combined units).</p><p>Collect data systematically in a comprehensive nursing assessment through interviews, observation, physical examination, and review of medical record.</p><p>Provide managerial direction, input, and feedback on unit effectiveness and patient care to staff and senior leadership regarding unit activities, needs and concerns.</p><p>Assign nursing staff to patient care duties based on priorities, patient condition and complexity, and expertise of individual staff members.</p><p>Provide formal and informal instructions for nursing staff.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
