<p>The Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Manager (NM) of the Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) at Valor Point, is the designated first-line supervisory authority and is responsible and accountable for the operation of their assigned units and provides coverage for other Nurse Managers as needed.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Start your VA career here Aurora Chamber of Commerce The RRTP NM is responsible and accountable for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, development of staff, and evaluation of individual staff performance. Duties of the position are, but not limited to: Function as a role model, educator, practitioner, and supervisor providing leadership to the team. Enhance care outcomes by collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to remove barriers and implement new evidence-based cutting-edge programs/processes. Engage in professional organizations to enhance leadership and career growth. Adhere to ethical principles in decision-making, foster accountability of personnel, organizational, and staff levels. Equip staff with tools for competent care and promote an environment of accountability for high-quality, cost-effective outcomes. Promote alliances across the care continuum, build trust through active listening, engagement, and emotional intelligence. Contribute to the development of care delivery models and environmental design, ensure evidence-based, accessible, affordable patient care. Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. Align nursing/clinical objectives with organizational strategic outcomes, participate in strategy planning and execution. Promote a workplace positively to achieve the organization's vision and mission. Other duties as assigned. Telework: The Veterans Health Administration, including VISN 19 and the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System, will comply fully with the intention and instructions contained in the "Return to Office" Executive Order. This position will likely be eligible to telework on a limited Ad-Hoc basis only. Virtual: This is not a virtual position. Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized. Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized.</p><h3>Requirements</h3>U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Subject to background/security investigation. Must pass pre-employment physical examination. Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
