ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>The RN - Resource Office provides competent, evidence-based care to patients and oversee licensed vocational nurses (LVNs)/nursing assistants (NAs), as appropriate to the setting. They help with nursing education, orientation, and competency programs, supporting quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation. All positions are expected to float to other areas.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Registered Nurse (RN) - Resource Office (RO) is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. The person in this role assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age specific components. The RN - RO assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. They administer medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines, and influence care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. The RN - RO is also responsible for the following duties: Demonstrating leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others for all patient care areas included within Resource Office assignments. Evaluating practice in an ongoing process, based on best evidence. Providing peers with informal constructive feedback for improvement. Fostering a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals. Contributing a professional nursing perspective in discussions with the interdisciplinary team. Partnering with others to effect change and produce optimal outcomes. Supporting colleagues through knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality nursing care. Sharing educational findings, experiences, and ideas with peers. Questioning clinical practices for the purpose of providing evidence-based care. Participating in activities and strategies to sustain an evidence-based-practice culture. Other duties, as assigned. The CCNE is an accrediting arm of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and accredits nursing education programs at the bachelor and master's level.
