<p>The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) is seeking a Quality Management Specialist (QMS), Registered Nurse (RN) for Quality & Patient Safety Department.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>VISN 12 is committed to fostering and sustaining an environment which celebrates diversity, provides equitable opportunities for employment and promotion, and supports inclusiveness in our culture. The QMS has knowledge of Joint Commission, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Long Term Care Institute (LTCI), Office of Inspector General (OIG), and other internal and external agency regulations and requirements. Major duties and responsibilities of the position: The QMS demonstrates performance that improves the care for a group of patients. The QMS is assigned responsibility for their assigned quality management program area activities for the Medical Center and all off-site locations. The QMS incumbent collects data, monitors staff compliance with relevant policies, directives, and standards, provides reports detailing trends, and provides direct staff support to all services in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying, and administering, a comprehensive quality management program area. The QMS participates in several facility councils, committees, and workgroups. The QMS directly supports facility leadership in areas of organization, development, direction, and evaluation of the quality program within the facility. The QMS facilitates and leads Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Healthcare Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (HFMEA) processes, and rapid improvement events. The QMS support's the command's strategic initiative of Lean Six Sigma program by leading and facilitating rapid improvement events and other Lean tools.
