Registered Nurse- Performance Improvement & Education Coordinator

ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>The Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Community Care Performance Improvement Coordinator. The RN participates in OCC education planning and delivery, performance improvement (PI) activities, monthly audits, workload metric entry, and routine report preparation.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties to include but are not limited to: Assists in identifying potential patient safety concerns arising in VA community care and escalates them to OCC leadership, the Patient Safety Manager, and CCN/TPA quality contacts as directed. Develop training agendas/materials; deliver orientation/in-services; validate competencies; adjust curriculum based on findings and learner feedback. Plan and lead assigned audit cycles; analyze quality/workload trends; draft program-level summaries; present results and action plans to leadership. Coordinate event reporting/investigations; track mitigations and preventive actions; prepare follow-up documentation; ensure corrective actions are closed. Ensure reliable referral/authorization operations; champion secure document exchange; resolve barriers across services (e.g., records requests, scheduling coordination). Facilitate interdisciplinary discussions; communicate findings/action plans; mentor junior staff; model customer service excellence.
