ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>The Registered Nurse - Operating Room assumes responsibility for the coordination of care, focused on patient education, self-management and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties include but are not limited to: Assume responsibility for coordinating care efforts that emphasize patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction across the entire continuum of care. Administer medications and perform procedures in accordance with established policies, guidelines, and safety standards. Influence patient care outcomes through effective collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, fostering a team-based approach to high-quality care delivery. Meet qualifications for Moderate Sedation Nurse Competencies and maintain current certifications, including ACLS and BLS. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, with a response time of 30 minutes to OR notifications. Independently planning, directing, and coordinating care for complex patients within the perioperative setting, including the operating room, ambulatory surgery, and endoscopy units as needed. Serve as a resource for patients, caregivers, and staff to address and resolve ethical issues in the immediate practice setting.
