ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>Demonstrates integration of biopsychosocial concepts, cognitive skills, and technically competent practice while providing care to clients. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing recruitment processes based on specific components.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Major duties may include but are not limited to: Demonstrates clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities to plan and deliver technically competent strategies for recruitment and retention of the nursing workforce utilizing the nursing process. With general supervision, utilizes nursing process to manage, prioritize, and organize recruitment and retention tasks to meet challenging staffing and workforce needs. Manages and completes own assignments in a safe and timely manner. Use Clinical knowledge to direct activities of other staff as appropriate. Manages and organizes recruitment and retention to complete assignments in a safe and timely manner, utilizing clinical knowledge to assist team members as necessary. Follows-up to ensure that assigned delegated tasks are completed by the team members. Applies clinical knowledge to function as a emerging leader in providing direction of nursing workforce recruitment and retention. Utilizes nursing knowledge to screen candidates to determine the best qualified based on expectations of specific position. Knowledgeable of ethical issues related to professional nursing practice and follows established policies of the practice setting, VA, and ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses. The approving official may authorize a waiver of the requirement for ACEN or CCNE accreditation of any degree in nursing provided the college or university has regional accreditation from an accrediting body recognized by the Department of Education at the time of the candidate's graduation and the composite qualifications of the applicant warrant such consideration.
