Practical Nurse

<p>About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center in the Directorate of Medicine, Department of Medicine Allergy Clinic in Honolulu, Hawaii. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Coordinate nursing care activities to include patient safety and education.</p><p>Administer medications with physicians orders after completion of medication administration competency test.</p><p>Provide comprehensive direct nursing care to patients based on the physician's medical plan.</p><p>Administer oxygen, IV piggyback medications, IV fluids, and oral medications.</p><p>Transport patients to other services, departments, and/or facilities.</p><p>Perform a variety of administrative tasks for the Pain Clinic in support of the Head Nurse.</p><p>Assist in managing the Performance Improvement Plan for the clinic.</p><h3>Education</h3>Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone - no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
