Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient clinic with a variety of medical conditions.</p><p>Perform tasks such as recording vital signs, ordering labs, tracking patient’s laboratory, radiology orders and referral results to completion.</p><p>Administer prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.</p><p>Educate patients and families about prescribed treatments, reinforcing adherence to the medical plan.</p><p>Document accurate administered medications and patient responses promptly in compliance with facility policies.</p><p>Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective management of patient medications.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
