Practical Nurse (Inpatient)

<p>About the Position: This position is located within the Department of Nursing at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide practical nursing care to patients in the inpatient setting with a variety of medical conditions.</p><p>Perform tasks such as record vital signs, monitor patient conditions, and report significant findings to the supervising nurse or physician.</p><p>Administer prescribed medications with increased independence, ensuring proper patient dosages, routes, and times are followed.</p><p>Assist in performing and managing medical procedures, such as wound care, catheterizations, and respiratory therapies, under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed medical practitioner.</p><p>Provide patient and family education tailored to specific medical conditions, treatment plans, and recovery goals.</p>
