Physician (Occupational Medicine)

<p>About the Position : This position is located at Barquist Occupational Health in Frederick, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as a Physician to provide Occupational Medicine services to employees in various occupations.</p><p>Perform occupational physical examinations of various types including pre-placement, disability retirement, fitness for duty, and any other special employee examinations.</p><p>Coordinate with facility and community resources to provide comprehensive work-related care to employees.</p><p>Counsel employees on workplace hazards and exam results.</p><p>Notify management of exam results and recommends appropriate work restrictions and accommodations.</p><p>Serve as member of the professional medical staff and provides advisory and consultative services on various meetings.</p><p>Oversee medical surveillance and medical qualification programs.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
