Physician (Emergency Medicine)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital in Fort Polk, Louisiana. This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as the senior staff officer while on duty in the Emergency Department.</p><p>Examine patients and order appropriate tests to evaluate patient’s chief, and related complaints.</p><p>Triage, resuscitate and stabilize both trauma and medical patients from the pediatric to the geriatric patient; from seriously ill to the severely traumatized.</p><p>Perform authorized emergency procedures.</p><p>Provide professional guidance and direction to physician assistants, Nurse Practitioners and physician assistant students working in the Emergency Department.</p><p>Record all medical data on prescribed forms and complete necessary administrative functions.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
