Physician Assistant (Only for Current Permanent Employees of South Texas VA Health Care System)

<p>This Open Continuous Announcement (OCA) is open ONLY to Current Permanent Employees of the South Texas Veterans Health Care System. This announcement is open to enable Physician Assistants within the South Texas Veterans Health Care System to communicate their desire for reassignment to a different physician assistant position. Applications expire every 90 days in order to keep the applicant pool current, and applicants should update their application every 90 days.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Duties and responsibilities: The Physician Assistant provides quality patient care in collaboration with other health care professionals. Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized This is an open continuous announcement and will remain open until the closing date or until the position is filled. Eligible applications received will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until the position is filled. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
