ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>The Portland Rehabilitation Therapist Supervisor duties are to serve as the Clinical Supervisor for Physical and Occupational Therapists and Therapist Assistants on the Portland campus. In addition to supervisory duties, they will provide comprehensive care for patients, participate in educational activities and serve as content and discipline adviser to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMRS) Leadership Team under the supervision of the PMRS Clinical Manager.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>VA Careers - Physical Therapy: https://youtube.com/embed/Gi2hoFqIoqY The Portland Rehabilitation Therapist Supervisor assures that the work assignments of employees in the group are carried out by performing such duties as: The Supervisor is charged with providing direct supervision for therapy staff to include, Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapist Assistants. The Supervisor, working with the PM&RS Clinical Manager develops and evaluates goals and analyzes workload. The Supervisor ensures the distribution and balance of workload among employees. Direct supervision includes but is not limited to in-depth knowledge of each therapist's duties, skills, and work environment. In conjunction with the PM&RS Clinical Manager, the Supervisor will set coverage plans, ensure sufficient distribution of resources to optimize patient care and efficiently utilize resources. The Supervisor uses data reports to determine required resources for completion of clinical workload. The Supervisor collaborates with the Clinical Manager to prepare reports as required by PM&RS Leadership Team. The Supervisor instructs employees in tasks and techniques both orally and in writing.
