Occupational Therapy Assistant

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD. The position operates within a clinical setting. Standard working hours are typically Monday through Friday, 0730 to 1600, though slight variations may occur based on clinic needs. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Coordinate and administer diverse occupational therapy programs.</p><p>Initiate, implement, and recommend treatment plans created by the Occupational Therapist.</p><p>Instruct patients in a variety of exercise programs and activities of daily living.</p><p>Make recommendations for patient's rehabilitation and reintegration needs.</p><p>Instruct and design specific training programs for occupational therapy assistant interns.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
