Nurse (Operating Room)

<p>About the Position: This position is for the Department of Surgery at Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, CO. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. -A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. -Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. -Student Loan repayment may be authorized. -Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide perioperative nursing care in a multi-service operating room providing a full range of surgical nursing services supporting complex and extensive surgical procedures.</p><p>Operate and assists in the care and handling of a variety of supplies and highly specialized equipment.</p><p>Assist physician with examination, as well as treatment prior to, during, and following invasive procedures.</p><p>Coordinate with physicians and other staff, preoperatively, to develop a multi-disciplinary, intra-operative plan of care.</p><p>Teach staff, patient, and family regarding pre- and post-operative care and procedures.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: See Qualifications Section for education requirements.
