<p>About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Evans Army Community Hospital in Fort Carson, Colorado. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care.</p><p>Respond to all emergencies during the shift.</p><p>Mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.</p><p>Take medical histories to acquire medically necessary information to assess physical and mental status of patient.</p><p>Function as a charge nurse on a rotational basis.</p><p>Participate in continuing education programs to update and/or maintain skills and knowledge to meet annual requirements.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
