Nurse (Clinical/Ambulatory)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Soldier Centered Medical Home (SCMH) location Tacoma, Washington. The incumbent will perform independent, comprehensive telephone and clinical triaging; uses critical decision-making skills to quickly and accurately prioritize difficult needs and potential solutions. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serve as a Clinical Ambulatory Nurse.</p><p>Perform independent, comprehensive telephone and clinical triaging and facilitate care coordination through a multidisciplinary approach.</p><p>Screen walk-in patients to assess the severity of the patient's condition and the need for provider intervention.</p><p>Recognize and report abnormal test results, changes in symptoms and the need for follow-up.</p><p>Review patient chart to assess medical history and determine health needs.</p><p>Reinforce health care provider instructions and encourage patient in the maintenance of health and self-care</p><p>Assess patients emotional, cognitive, social and motivational status relative to education and determine their educational needs and priorities.</p><p>Ensure staff compliance with maintenance of competency folders in accordance with hospital and Joint Commission standards</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
