For more information, refer to Required Documents below.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for providing competent, evidence-based procedural care to assigned patients and oversight of staff, including but not limited to licensed vocational/practical nurses and/or health technicians/nursing assistants, as appropriate in the pre/post procedural setting. Assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies, and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation. Demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others. Responsible for direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care and identifying outcomes for patient undergoing invasive procedures in IR. Responsible for coordinating patient care delivery to ensure the delivery of quality care per the established standards of practice, policy, and procedure. Provides patient education to assist the patient and/or family in understanding all phases of the invasive procedure process. Maintains knowledge of supplies and equipment used for various cases in the invasive procedures area. Performs the duties of recording, circulating, and monitoring patients in all phases of the invasive procedure. Performs hemodynamic and moderate sedation monitoring, medication administration, and provides pre-and post-care to patients undergoing invasive procedures. Contributes professional nursing perspective in discussions with the interdisciplinary team. May be required to take call. This position potentially requires flexibility in schedule and assignments. All other duties as assigned.
