<p>About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency located at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, TX. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy for outpatient clients referred to from the Military Medical Treatment Facility and establish nutrition-related chronic disease management protocols</p><p>Adopt and implement appropriate clinical practice guidelines and protocols and coordinate implementation, integration, and process improvement with Primary Care and Specialty Care Clinics, as appropriate.</p><p>Develop, implement, and individualize plans for nutrition intervention in accordance with the client’s medical/personal goals, diagnosis, and self-management potential.</p><p>Conduct patient education, both on an individual basis and through group classes.</p><p>Develop, coordinate, and market programs to target populations and health care delivery system for optimal participation and improved health outcomes.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
