Dental Assistant

<p>About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency (DHA), located at Fort Eisenhower, Augusta, GA. This position is a multi provider dental office with duty hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:30p.m., Monday-Friday. Applicant can expect to achieve a greater understanding of dentistry and work in cooperative and motivated environment. This is an open continuous announcement. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Perform inter-oral procedures as directed by dentist.</p><p>Take preliminary impressions for study models, removes sutures, places and removes rubber dams, perio-packs, matrix bands, and wedges.</p><p>Operate dental X-ray equipment.</p><p>Receive and schedule patients for treatment.</p><p>Prepare and arrange all instruments and materials needed for each treatment.</p><p>Sterilize instruments, materials, equipment, and prepare surgical trays.</p><p>Take and record blood pressure and pulse of oral surgery patients before and after treatment.</p><p>Aid in the training of trainee dental assistants and students.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
