<p>About the Position: About the Position: Serve as a Supervisory Physician (Medical Evaluation Board) with the Department of Defense at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Review available medical records of all military personnel referred for possible disability processing.</p><p>Responsible for the examination, diagnosis, treatment and prescription of the full range of patients seen for purposes of completing the Medical Evaluation Board process.</p><p>Responsible for the dictation of narrative summaries, addendums, dictating responses to concerns raised by soldiers and the Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) or Physical Disability Agency (PDA).</p><p>Leader of a health care team comprised of other physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and Army disability staff. Provide medical consultative services and chart review for quality assurance purposes.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
