Advanced Practice Nurse (Practitioner/Ambulatory)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital in Fort Polk, Louisiana. This is an open continuous announcement. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide comprehensive health care for all ages and families in the Medical Treatment Facility.</p><p>Obtain health history and conduct a variety of physical examinations of patients.</p><p>Provide treatment of minor/acute and chronic conditions through use of a variety of therapeutic modalities.</p><p>Perform a variety of procedures as needed, such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and toenail removal, based on skill level/scope of practice of clinic.</p><p>Manage patient treatment using a variety of therapeutic modalities to include medications, counseling, support services, and other ancillary medical supplies crutches, splits, bandages, and syringes.</p><p>Manage chronic health problems in accordance with existing protocol.</p><p>Prepare written or computerized, complete, accurate documentation on all patients evaluated in the clinical setting.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
