Advanced Practice Nurse (Occupational Health)

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Occupational Health Clinic #4 at Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan Repayment may be authorized. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serves as direct primary clinician/provider in the capacity of a credentialed Nurse Practitioner for the Occupational Health and Army Public Health Sections.</p><p>Conducts a comprehensive program of occupational medical surveillance examinations based on the actual and potential health hazards</p><p>Provides medical care and health assessments for civilian and military personnel and uses professional judgment to make recommendations for proper placement consistent with job requirements.</p><p>Treats acute minor work related illnesses and diseases within the scope of individual credentialed capabilities.</p><p>Makes proper recommendations for corrective actions within the worksite and coordinates these actions with IH, Safety, Environmental Health, Public Works, etc., when appropriate.</p><p>Performs job related health assessments and physical examinations/evaluations appropriate to the occupational physical requirements and potential exposures.</p><h3>Education</h3>See Qualifications section for education requirements.
