Vocational Nurse

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Schertz Medical Home in Schertz, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provide comprehensive practical nursing care to a diverse patient population.</p><p>Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions for a wide range of conditions.</p><p>Evaluate patient responses and recognize early signs of complications to treatments and initiate appropriate responses to ensure optimal outcomes.</p><p>Document all procedures and observations in the patient's electronic health record.</p><p>Review laboratory and radiology results, and relay abnormal deviations to the provider.</p><p>Assist with advanced medical procedures, such as intravenous therapy, respiratory treatments, wound care, women's health procedures and urinary catheterization.</p><p>Provide education to patients and their families on self-care procedures, preventative care measures, complex treatment options, medication regimens, and strategies for managing chronic conditions.</p>
