<p>This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality,Quality Measurement and Value-Based Incentives Group (QMVIG) . As a Supervisory Physician (QMVIG Director), GP-0602-15, you will provide medical officer leadership and direction to staff responsible for the design, development, and operation of multiple value-based programs and oversight for quality measurements.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Provides executive leadership and direction for the design, development, and operation of multiple statutory CMS value-based programs.</p><p>Leads the development, maintenance, and implementation of quality and cost measures used across all CMS quality reporting, value-based purchasing, and public reporting programs.</p><p>Serves as subject matter expert for the multi-payer Core Quality Measure Collaborative and the Partnership for Quality Measurement, engaging the medical and scientific communities to align quality measures across public and private payers.</p><p>Directs the coordination of quality and cost measurement and reporting activities across CMS components, the Department, contractors, and stakeholders, while also managing subordinate supervisors and overseeing personnel functions.</p><p>Provides clinical direction and medical consultation to the CCSQ Director and Deputy Directors, advising on the development and evaluation of a comprehensive clinical quality and cost measurement system for all Medicare beneficiary populations.</p><h3>Education</h3>Education Requirement: In addition to meeting the qualification requirements, all candidates must have the following educational requirements: Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association(external link); Association of American Medical Colleges(external link); Liaison Committee on Medical Education(external link); Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association(external link), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained. You are strongly encouraged to submit a copy of your transcripts at the time of application. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted at the time of application. Official transcripts will be required from all selectees prior to receiving an official offer. License/Registration Requirement: In addition to meeting the qualification requirements, all candidates must possess the license/registration listed below. Proof of license/registration MUST be submitted at time of application. Failure to submit proof of license/registration at the time of application WILL result in an ineligible rating. For all grade levels and positions, applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
