Supervisory Physical Therapist

<p>About the Position: The PT office is located on the third deck of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. Providers and supervisors will be provided an administrative office and treatment room in addition to the shared gym. Hours of clinic operation are typically Monday- Thursday, 0715-1700 with the exception of training days and 0730-1600 on Fridays. Providers work a 40hr week. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Performs the full range of supervisory and fiscal responsibilities within established time frames and in accordance with applicable regulations.</p><p>Develops a vision for the work unit, assigns work, conveys performance priorities and expectations, provides technical oversight, coaches and rates employees.</p><p>Provides program support to Director for Clinical Support Services regarding administrative procedures and policies required to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the Physical Therapy Department.</p><p>Reviews and updates the policies and procedures of the Physical Therapy Department.</p><p>Directly oversees the care of patients diagnosed with orthopedic and cumulative trauma disorders.</p><p>Evaluates and coordinates rehabilitative care for outpatient referrals.</p><p>Serves as a consultant to referring physicians and health care providers regarding diagnostic and prognostic findings associated with provisional diagnoses. Participates in peer review activities within the Naval Health Clinic.</p><p>Completes medical coding for all patient encounters.</p><p>Formulates and conducts in­ service training programs for professional development of all staff.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
