ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>This Supervisory Occupational Therapist position is within the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Home Health Care Services, in Little Rock, Arkansas and serves as the Assistant Program Director for the the Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) program.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties of the Supervisory Occupational Therapist include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the administrative functions associated with the HBPC program Assists the HBPC Program Director administratively and programmatically to oversee a diverse professional staff and provides leadership, advice, counsel, and instructions to individual staff members on administrative and programmatic matters to improve care and clinical program outcomes Responsible for working with the program director, medical directors, and service line leadership to develop appropriate levels of administrative support and will develop tools, monitors, reports, and information regarding the assigned program Performs work in support of the assigned program and projects to include but not limited to performance measures, performance improvement, program efficiencies, budgetary controls, expenses, audits, and overall operation of the service Key participant in program planning to include development of long- and short-term strategic plans and processes Plans, develops, and directs administrative activities and provides directorship to achieve optimum operations of the program, both internally and in coordination with medical center administrative and program services Responsible for the acquisition and collation of data pertinent to the program's operational activities. Gathers and analyzes patient, statistical, and financial data for trends and provides related reports, graphs, flowcharts, spreadsheets as required Provides administrative support to ensure effective operations reporting, evaluation and requirements related to various regulatory bodies such as JCAHO, VA OIG, and others Establishes criteria for internal reviews, monitors for change in mission, goals, new legislation, and technological advances, analyzes and assesses for potential impact/change to work methods and need to development of new systems or processes Conducts and participates in staff interviews and search committee activities, recommending appointments, promotions, and reassignments for the service line Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (Subject to change based on the needs of the service) Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
