<p>About the Position: Serve as a Supervisory Nurse (Otolaryngology/Ophthalmology) within the Defense Health Agency (DHA), North Carolina Coast Market, Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Responsible for assessing, leading, training, planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and all related clinic management activities.</p><p>As the first line supervisor, the incumbent assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.</p><p>Provide technical oversight as well as developing performance standards and plans and rates employees.</p><p>Monitor metrics to identify and solve problems to ensure delivery of quality patient care.</p><p>Collaborate with Department Heads of Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology to develop, justify and monitor departmental budgets.</p><p>Evaluate the need for updating the departments’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implement changes.</p><p>Identify and address issues that affect patient care outcomes, collaborates with appropriate providers to prevent recurrence of issues.</p>
