<p>About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Direct and manage all health record processing, ensuring records are complete, accurate, secure, and accessible in compliance with policy and accreditation standards.</p><p>Lead the Health Record Management Section, providing supervision, training, performance management, staffing oversight, and workforce planning for personnel handling inpatient, outpatient, STR, and PRT functions.</p><p>Oversee provider documentation completion, deficiency management, and query processes to ensure regulatory, accreditation, and DHA compliance.</p><p>Ensure accurate tracking, inventory, retirement, and disposition of medical records—including STRs and PRT—while coordinating with clinical and administrative teams to maintain full documentation accountability.</p><p>Create policies, SOPs, training plans, and corrective actions; prepares statistical and compliance reports; and drives continuous improvement in record management accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
