Supervisory Dietitian

<p>The primary purpose of this position is to plan, direct, and supervise all clinical and administrative functions of the Dietary and Nutrition Department. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Plan, organize, and direct the operations of the Dietary and Nutrition Department to meet patient care needs and organizational goals. Assign work to approximately 20 subordinate employees based on priorities and individual capabilities. Document nutritional assessments, patient education, discharge plans, and referral information in the patient's medical record. Serve as a clinical resource to medical and allied health staff on dietetic management and emerging dietary treatment approaches. Implement change in operations, methods, and procedures to resolve operational problems and improve service delivery.</p><h3>Requirements</h3>Selectee may be subject to a probationary period ESEP appointees typically serve a two year trial period U.S. Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children. Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
