<p>About the Position: This position is located within the Diagnostic Radiology Service at WRNMMC. It blends hands-on advanced clinical imaging (MRI) with administrative, technical, and personnel leadership over a dedicated team of imaging professionals within a major MTF. The main physical workspace/office is located within the Liberty MRI suite. Duty hours are 0700-1530. Occasional on-call to include evenings, weekends, or holidays to support mission needs. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Serves as a Supervisory Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist.</p><p>Performs duties as the Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO), responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing MRI safety policies.</p><p>Independently performs a full range of magnetic resonance imaging procedures.</p><p>Provides technical assistance to staff and physicians regarding equipment use, imaging procedures, and specialized imaging requirements.</p><p>Assists radiologists in the performance of complex procedures such as pacemakers, stress cardiacs and functional imaging.</p><p>Adapts imaging parameters based on MRI physics principles to ensure safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging.</p><p>Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities over assigned staff.</p><p>Advises employees on policies, procedures, and management directives.</p><p>Identifies employee developmental needs, arranges training, and encourages self-development.</p><p>Develops, modifies, and interprets performance standards; communicates expectations; and provides regular performance feedback.</p><p>Maintains accountability for MRI equipment and supplies by performing routine equipment checks, documenting performance issues, initiating and tracking work orders.</p><p>Assists building a highly efficient, motivated team by conducting performance appraisals, resolving workplace grievances, and mentoring active-duty technologists toward advanced clinical certifications.</p><p>Leads quality control programs, equipment procurement reviews, and safety training, directly contributing to superior patient care outcomes.</p><p>Implements new imaging protocols, software upgrades, and hardware transitions.</p>
