ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>This position falls under the Audiology Section of the Rehabilitation Service at the Santa Rosa community based outpatient clinic (CBOC). Serves as the Supervisory Audiologist for the Santa Rosa CBOC Audiology Section and is responsible for the supervision, administrative management, and direction of the Audiology program at the Santa Rosa CBOC. The duties and responsibilities are carried out throughout the Santa Rosa Audiology Clinic and all Audiology clinics in the Northern VA CBOCs.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Major duties. In carrying out the clinical duties and responsibilities of this position, the incumbent: Clinical Diagnoses audiologic disorders, conducts audiologic or neuro-audiologic assessments, treats auditory disorders through a various modalities and provide adjunctive interventions for the treatment of medical disorders. Consults with medical center staff on various patient care issues. Participates in program evaluation, teaching, training and research activities. Provides individual, family and/or group audiologic rehabilitation. Administrative Skill in conflict resolution to facilitate positive working relationships between employees, team leaders and managers. Skill in applying evidence-based practices in a professional area. Ability to analyze organizational and operational challenges to develop and implement solutions. Ability to develop the abilities and strengths of current employees. Ability to balance responsibilities, set priorities and delegate tasks to meet multiple deadlines. Ability to analyze data to manage workload, quality, performance, and productivity within the section Education Provides orientation/training of medical staff. Assists in orientation and training of new staff Keeps current with theory and practice through continuing education programs, journals, textbooks, and other literature, and in-service programs. Provides patient and family education including informed consent.
