ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>The Marion VA Health Care System is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to serve as the Primary Care Nurse Manager within Nursing Service for the Marion Community Based Outpatient Clinic and Marion Primary Care and Women's Health Buildings located in Marion, IL.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The incumbent will provide administrative oversight of Marion, IL Community Based Outpatient Clinic, is accountable to the Primary Care Chief Nurse/designee and has 24-hour 7 days/week accountability for the provision and evaluation of patient care in the assigned area with management and supervision of staff as assigned. The incumbent demonstrates effective management practices including organizational improvement; working effectively with others to accomplish the work of the area including efficiency of clinics; meeting applicable accreditation standards, policies and procedures, and performance expectations. The incumbent assures timely and effective communications and coordination of care and participates in organizational groups designed to impact performance and satisfaction of patients and employees. Must have strong team building skills. PLEASE NOTE: These positions require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. If selected, Applicants will provide proof of current certifications prior to employment. Only BLS certification which included Automated External Defibrillator (AED) obtained from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Military Treatment Training Network (MTN) will be accepted.
