RN - Assistant Nurse Manger, Primary Care

<p>The Milwaukee VA Medical Center is looking for a Registered Nurse - Assistant Nurse Manager for the Primary Care unit.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Assistant Nurse Manager functions as a clinical expert and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or directing patient care. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age/gender specific components. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Self-directed and influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team and creating innovative process improvement initiatives. Demonstrate sound decision-making and judgment and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Supports the Nurse Manager (NM) with supervisory duties and responsibility and accountability for the daily operation of the designated clinics. Provides coverage for other ANMs as needed. Engages in professional organizations to enhance leadership and career growth. Adheres to ethical principles in decision-making, fostering accountability at personal, organizational, and staff levels. Contributes to the development of care delivery models and environmental design, ensuring evidence-based, accessible, affordable, and equitable patient care. Ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
