Respiratory Therapist

<p>About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This position is located as Fort Carson, Colorado A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Assess patient cardiopulmonary status based on physical exam, pulmonary function results and laboratory data.</p><p>Interpret blood gas and pulmonary function results on test technical accuracy and logic.</p><p>Organizes and carriy out asthma education for asthmatics including asthma teaching, inhaler/nebulizer instruction, and review of written asthma instructions with the family and patient.</p><p>Perform all routine technical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.</p><p>Regularly set up and monitor complex respiratory therapy equipment such as volume and pressure ventilators.</p><p>Maintain department areas and equipment including packaging equipment for sterilization and disinfecting when appropriate.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
