Respiratory Therapist

<p>About the Position: This position is located at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Department of Medicine - Respiratory Therapy Inpatient. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Set up, clean, sterilize, disinfect, calibrate and monitor respiratory equipment to ensure proper functionality.</p><p>Administer a variety of tests and analyze results to assess respiratory patients.</p><p>Monitor treatment plans for patients with a variety of respiratory issues and make adjustments in mechanical ventilator settings when required.</p><p>Instruct patients and families in the use of respiratory equipment for home use.</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
