<p>About the Position: This position is located at Army Medical Center Madigan in WA This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot pulmonary function and respiratory therapy devices following ATS standards.</p><p>Observe the patient closely during treatment monitoring pulse oximetry and breathe sounds, assessing for abnormal vital signs or other changes in the patients’ condition</p><p>Act as the consultant to the medical and nursing staff in order to meet prescribed therapeutic outcomes</p><p>Monitor and evaluate patient respiratory treatments done by other clinicians to ensure respiratory interventions are rendered as prescribed</p><p>Participate in emergency treatment, performing life-saving actions as suctioning and endotracheal intubation.</p><p>Ensure intubation and ventilation equipment is prepared and assist in life-saving procedures.</p><p>Ensure that the respiratory service section maintains biannually competency and duties performed in accordance with employee job description</p><h3>Education</h3>FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
