Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>Vascular Access Registered Nurse (RN) execute position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex patient care. You will have advanced knowledge and skills in assessing, inserting, caring for, and managing vascular access devices, including peripheral intravenous catheters (PIV), midlines, and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC).Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: maintaining Central Venous Access Devices (CVAD) collaborating in the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of policies, procedures, and/or guidelines providing peers with formal or informal constructive feedback for improvement supporting colleagues and other nurses through knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality nursing care fostering a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of health care professionals evaluating outcomes of evidence-based decisions and practice changes for individuals, groups, and populations documenting outcomes at the program or service level skillfully integrating theoretical concepts, honing strong critical thinking skills, and exhibiting technically-skilled practices, etc. Work Schedule: Minimum of two shifts per month, actual shift determined after orientation Telework: Not Authorized Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
