ABOUT THIS ROLE

<p>The VA Cooperative Studies Program (CSP) is part of the division of the Office of Research and Development, VA Central Office and is responsible for the planning and conducting of large multicenter controlled clinical trials (MCTs). CSP maintains a diverse portfolio of clinical research studies that seeks to provide definitive answers to important clinical questions on a national scale and on a range of diseases that affect Veterans and the nation.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>This announcement will remain open until June 26, 2026. All applications received up to 11:59p.m. EST on the date in which 100 applications is reached will receive first consideration. Additional applications will be reviewed in one week increments as requested by management. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Managing and conducting on-site monitoring visits at clinical sites to identify problems and issues, and to assess compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), study protocol, ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and all other applicable regulations governing the conduct of research. Managing and conducting remote reviews of participants' electronic medical records, electronic data capture systems or paper records provided by the site to assess compliance with CFR, study protocol and ICH GCP requirements. Reviews and evaluates study files and regulatory documents both remotely and at the site to ensure completeness and accuracy. Preparing written detailed reports after each visit or remote reviewing session for study management and key officials, identifying findings and providing recommendations for improvement. Participating in integrating monitoring plan and site performance metric team calls. Participates in other related team discussions/calls where required. Developing and delivering training on ICH GCP and regulatory requirements to site personnel. Creating presentations to facilitate education and training for team members. Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized</p><h3>Requirements</h3>U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Subject to background/security investigation.
