ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>The Fayetteville VA Medical Center (VAMC) is recruiting Registered Nurse Transition to Practice (RNTTP) Program Coordinator. The RNTTP Coordinator facilitates the transition of the nurse resident from a novice nurse and/or advanced beginner to a competent professional. The RNTTP Coordinator demonstrates leadership, experience, functions independently, and is responsible for leading the RNTTP Residency Program in achieving its mission, goals, and expected outcomes.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The major duties and responsibilities of a Registered Nurse Transition-to-Practice includes but are not limited to: The RNTTP Coordinator assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the program based on established policies and guidelines consistent with the program mission, goals, and expected outcomes. The RNTTP Coordinator is responsible for the quality and quantity of program-specific training and establishes program initiatives and direction within limitations of available staff and budget. In collaboration with leadership, stakeholders, academic affiliates, and the program participants, promotes the transition from academia to clinical practice, integration into the organization, and socialization into the professional nurse role. Develops, maintains, and administers a formal, data-driven, systematic plan for appraising the effectiveness of the RNTTP Program and disseminates program outcomes. The RNTTP Coordinator facilitates the transition of the nurse resident from a novice nurse and/or advanced beginner to a competent professional. Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized</p><h3>Requirements</h3>U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
