ABOUT THIS ROLE
<p>Simulation Program Coordinator (SPC) Registered Nurse (RN) delivers fundamental understanding of adult learning principles and a lifelong learner that can practice with flexibility to adapt or change learning strategies based on the assessment of learning needs within the healthcare organization. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates educational needs to facilitate learner development an skill training of clinical staff in a psychologically safe environment.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>The Simulation Program Coordinator (SPC)/Registered Nurse (RN) serves as a subject matter expert in simulation-based education, responsible for the development, promotion, delivery, and evaluation of professional simulation training programs for healthcare staff across all departments and services within the medical center, outlying community clinics, and resource centers. The SPC designs and implements innovative instructional experiences that foster clinical competency, critical thinking, and professional growth among nursing and interdisciplinary healthcare staff in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The incumbent assesses learning needs, plans and implements curricula, and evaluates outcomes to ensure compliance with national and local simulation program standards. This position operates across diverse clinical environments, adapting simulation methodologies to meet the unique educational needs of each setting while promoting a culture of continuous learning and patient safety excellence.
