<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.</p><h3>Major Duties</h3><p>This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT. Applicants will be referred on an 'as needed' basis every 8-10 days. Announcement will remain open through 12/23/2026 but may be extended or closed if needed prior to the initial closing date. Note: Vacancies may not currently exist on all shifts, but may later prior to the closing date. Applicants will be notified at time of referral. The Registered Nurse (RN) - Community Living Center (CLC) is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care in the Small Homes unit. The incumbent assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. The RN - CLC is also responsible for the following duties: Focusing on individual growth and development in practice with increased levels of self-direction. Formulating a plan of care based on nursing assessments. Seeking guidance in how to improve care provided to residents and families. Bringing principles and theory with limited application of critical thinking skills. Seeking documentation guidance from the Minimum Data Set (MDS) Coordinator to ensure accuracy of the Resource Utilization Group (RUG) score. Delivering fundamental knowledge-based care to assigned clients while developing technical skills. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care based on age-specific components. Administering medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influencing care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Other duties, as assigned.
